Police Seize Over 4 Pounds Of Marijuana, Arrest Man After Disturbance At Norwalk Beach: PD
Police said the man is accused of performing donuts in the parking lot and threatening to shoot a person at Calf Pasture Beach.

NORWALK, CT — A Norwalk man was arrested and over four pounds of marijuana were found in his vehicle following a disturbance reported late Thursday afternoon at Calf Pasture Beach, according to police.
In a news release, Police Lt. Tomasz Podgorski said the department received multiple reports around 11:30 a.m. of a person driving erratically and threatening to shoot another driver at Calf Pasture Beach.
Officers found and stopped the vehicle, a BMW X1, as it was traveling on Canfield Avenue, Podgorski said.

The driver, identified as Alexander Freedman, 37, of Norwalk, was detained while officers conducted an investigation, according to Podgorski.
Officers spoke with several witnesses who said Freedman had been speeding, driving recklessly and performing donuts in the parking lot, Podgorski said.

When a person confronted Freedman, he threatened to shoot the person with a gun from his vehicle, according to Podgorski.
Officers searched Freedman's vehicle and found several vape cartridges, a glass jar of liquid hashish and multiple jars and bags of marijuana with a total combined weight of 4.817 pounds, according to Podgorski.
Officers also found a metal impact weapon inside the vehicle, Podgorski said.
Freedman was charged with second-degree threatening, second-degree breach of peace, illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, possession with intent to sell 1 kilogram or more of a cannabis substance, sale of 1 kilogram or more of a cannabis substance, use of drug paraphernalia, violation of restricted substances, reckless driving and failure to renew registration.
His bond was set at $125,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court next month, according to Podgorski.
