Power Outage Reported In Downtown South Norwalk: City

City officials said SNEW is currently working to restore power in downtown South Norwalk following a power outage reported Monday.

NORWALK, CT — South Norwalk Electric and Water is currently working to restore power in downtown South Norwalk following a power outage, city officials said Monday evening.

In a Facebook post just before 6 p.m., city officials said SNEW alerted them of a power outage in downtown SoNo, which the company hopes to have fixed by Monday night.

City officials encouraged anyone impacted by the power outage who needs access to air conditioning to go to the South Norwalk Library (10 Washington Street, Norwalk) or the SoNo Collection mall, both of which are open until 8 p.m. on Mondays.

Residents can also go to the community room of the Norwalk Police Department (1 Monroe Street, Norwalk), which is open 24 hours a day.

Impacted residents are also encouraged to go to the home of a family member or friend who has air conditioning, city officials said.
