4 Teens Charged After Huge Brawl At Orange Business: Police

A large fight broke out at the Urban Air Adventure Park Saturday night, according to police.

ORANGE, CT — Four teens were arrested Saturday night following a large-scale brawl at the Urban Air Adventure Park, according to police.

The department’s entire shift had to respond to the incident, and they had to request help from neighboring West Haven police, according to Assistant Chief Max Martins.

Police were summoned to the Bull Hill Lane business around 8:09 p.m. Saturday on a report of individuals fighting inside.

“Arriving officers were met with numerous unruly individuals, most of which were juveniles, that were screaming, running around and actively fighting,” Martins said.

At one point, an Orange police officer, after giving warning, had to deploy pepper spray in the air to disperse a crowd that was fighting and preventing the officer from reaching combatants, police said.

Two 14-year-olds from Bridgeport and two juveniles from New Haven, ages 14 and 15, were arrested and turned over to their parents, police said. The four teens must appear in juvenile court.

The business has various indoor amusements, such as trampolines, slides, and climbing walls, according to its website.

The initial fight may have been due to aggressive behavior in a dodge ball pit, though the exact cause is unknown, police said.

Police evacuated the business, which had hundreds of patrons inside. There were additional disturbances outside and in the neighboring lots afterward, police said.

Many of the people at the business were unsupervised juveniles, according to police.

A police video of the incident shows pandemonium inside the business, with police yelling “Get on the ground!” and “Freeze!”

“Luckily, no one was seriously hurt during this disturbance,” Martins said, in an email Monday.

Police said the business has had many calls for police service in recent months due to fights.
