Details Released For Adaptive Programs Coming To Orange

The Adaptive programs include two events for children and young adults with autism and other special needs.

ORANGE, CT – Autism Health and Fitness Center are bringing two programs to the Orange Community.

The Inclusive Prom for young adults with special needs starts at 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on June 10 at 307 Racebrook Rd.

At the Inclusive Prom, there will be music, dancing, food, a sensory touch station, a chill lounge, crafts and a photo booth.

It is not a drop-off event; RSVP is required to attend the event, and the nonmember fee is $25.

A few days later, the Autism Health and Fitness Center Adaptive Summer Camps begin at 307 Racebrook Rd. for ages five and up (including young adults).

The Adaptive Summer Kick-Off Week 1 is set for June 19 through June 21, and Week 2 is set for June 26 through June 28, Monday through Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

If registered by June 5, the fee for the Summer Kick-off is $210 per week for members and $240 per week for nonmembers. The fee after June 5 is $240 per week for members and $270 per week for non-members.

The Adaptive Summer Cap Week 1 is set for July 31 through Aug. 4; Week 2 is set for Aug. 7 through Aug. 11; Week 3 is set for Aug. 14 through Aug. 18, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

If registered by July 15, the fee is $350 per week for members and $400 per week for nonmembers. The registration fee after July 15 is $400 per week for members and $450 per week for nonmembers.

The Adaptive camps for people with autism and other special needs allow each camper to feel successful and supported while engaging in active, cooperative and social experiences. The Campers will enjoy crafts, yoga, sports, teambuilding games, friendship and more.
