Michael David DiRienzo, 56, of Orange, beloved husband of ToniAnn DiRienzo, passed away on November 29, 2025
Michael was known for his kindness, humor, ability to talk with anyone, and leaving a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

Michael David DiRienzo, 56, of Orange, beloved husband of ToniAnn DiRienzo, passed away on November 29, 2025 surrounded by his family and close friends after a difficult battle against cancer for 6 months. Born on June 13, 1969 in New London, CT, he was the son of Judith Wood and Louis DiRienzo.
Michael was known for his kindness, humor, ability to talk with anyone, and leaving a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. Michael was a skilled billiards player, having played as a member of the American Poolplayers Association for 31 years, and an avid golfer. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and daughter, especially to Disney and Marco Island, Florida as well as annual golf trips with his close friends.
Michael received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New Haven. This is where him and Toni first met. They later married and enjoyed 32 years together. He additionally received his Master of Business Administration degree from UNH.

Michael worked in the supermarket industry for the majority of his career. Recently he joined the Sales Team of US. Foods as a Territory Sales Manager which he thoroughly enjoyed.
In addition to his wife, Toni, Michael is survived by his daughter, Brianna DiRienzo; his mother, Judith Wood; his brother, Steven (Christine) DiRienzo; his stepsiblings, Christine (partner Dan) Wood, Michael (Brenda) Wood, and Karen (Charlie) Kerrison; his nieces and nephews, Courtney (Timo) Havens, Mark (Alison) Volturno, Alec DiRienzo, Robert DiRienzo Jr., and Nicole Wood; his beloved dogs, Penny and Amelia; his close friends, Nick Lampronikos, Jeffrey (Melanie) Caldwell, and Richard Paolillo; as well as many other close friends and family members. Michael is predeceased by his stepfather, Leanord Wood, and his brothers, David DiRienzo and Robert DiRienzo.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, December 5, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Infant, 450 Racebrook Road, Orange (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). Interment will follow at Saint Agnes Cemetery, East Main Street, Branford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society or ASPCA.
