Murder Trial Begins For Orange Man

Orange man is accused of allegedly killing his mother.

Timothy Granata, 24, of Orange is accused of allegedly stabbing his mother to death last year.

Granata has chosen to plead not guilty by reason of insanity, according to a report from the New Haven Register.

Police found Dr. Claudia Dinan Granata in her Orange home while the accused was found walking on a nearby road with a Bible covered in blood, according to the New Haven Register.

Audio of Granata being interviewed by police has been released and he alleges he was the victim of sexual abuse by the mother but no evidence was found to support the claim, reports the New Haven Register, who also says the accused cannot remember if he was the one to make the 911 call or not.
