New Cajun Seafood Restaurant Opens In Orange

It's part of a chain that in the midst of a major expansion throughout the country.

ORANGE, CT — Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar, a growing chain of national eateries, has opened a new restaurant in Orange at 385 Boston Post Road. It is the chain's first location in Connecticut.

Founded in 2013 in Lanham, Maryland, Hook & Reel is a "casual family"-style restaurant that is adding new locations not only in Connecticut but also in Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Florida, Pennsylvania and around the country.

"At Hook & Reel we celebrate the flavorful cuisine of Louisiana by pairing the freshest seafood with authentic cajun seasonings," the company says on its Facebook page.

The menu features a host of different seafoods, such as crawfish, dungeness crab, New Zealand mussels, lobster and scallops, and allows customers to choose from different sauces for either a mild, spicy or "fire" taste.

Diners also can come up with their own combinations for sandwiches or feast on a plethora of side dishes or appetizers.

Hook & Reel in Orange is open Sunday through Thursday from noon to 10 p.m., and on Friday and Saturday from noon to midnight. For more information, call 203-553-9909.
