Obituary: Ruth E. Sutherland, 96, of Orange
Ruth was a loving and devoted wife, mother and friend to many.
ORANGE, CT - (From Cody-White Funeral Home) Ruth E. Sutherland, 96, of Orange, Connecticut, beloved wife of the late William Sutherland Jr., passed away peacefully into eternal rest at Hospice in Branford, Connecticut, on March 23, 2022.
Ruth was born on July 22, 1925 in Queens, New York. She was the daughter of the late William John and Emma Ann (Garbe) Sudhoff.
She is survived by her son, William Sutherland III, and his wife, Cathy. She also leaves behind her beloved Maine coastline and all her friends there.
All services for Ruth are private.
The family is being compassionately cared for by the staff at Cody-White Funeral Home 107 Broad Street, Milford, CT 06460. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Long Island Fire and Rescue, Island Avenue, Long Island, Maine 04050.
