Orange Business Recognized for Energy Efficiency Efforts
Numet Machining Techniques, Inc. of Orange received a comprehensive lighting retrofit and converted to high-efficiency lighting solutions.

As part of the Energize Connecticut initiative, the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund recently honored Numet Machining Techniques, Inc. of Orange with an Energy Efficiency Leadership Award for its distinct energy sustainability and environmental stewardship efforts.
Numet Machining Techniques took advantage of the Energy Efficiency Fund’s Energy Conscious Blueprint Program designed for businesses that are planning new construction, major renovations or significant equipment purchases or replacements.

Through the program, Numet received a comprehensive lighting retrofit and converted to high-efficiency lighting solutions. The company also installed a new high-efficiency air compressor system as part of its move into an upgraded facility.
Numet is now projected to save approximately $37,012 per year from the program.

In addition, the Energy Efficiency Fund presented Numet with an incentive amount of $21,950 for executing these energy-efficiency measures.
The Energy Conscious Blueprint Program provides incentives to business customers that help offset the cost of incorporating energy-efficient measures into new construction or major renovation projects as well as equipment replacements.
