Orange Election 2015 Recap: Republicans Big Night

Republican James Zeoli Is reelected to serve a sixth-term by a landslide vote.

Republican James Zeoli has been elected to serve as first selectman for the sixth time. He won against Democratic opponent Ken Lenz 2,951 to 1,418.

Lenz also did not win back his seat on the Board of Selectmen, according to a report by the Orange Times.

The Board of Selectmen will see all of its Republican incumbents return including John Carangelo, Ralph Okenquist and Judy Wright Williams, according to the Orange Times and its Editor Joseph Cole.

Paul Davis and Mitch Goldblatt, both Democrats will also serve on the board of selectmen.

Zeoli said via the Orange Times that his next term will be a continuation of his previous efforts. Zeoli said he’ll tackle projects like Fred Wolfe Park and the Train Station.

Republican Sandra Pierson won the race for tax collector against Democrat Howard Dietch 2845 to 1408 and the Board of Education winners included Republicans Chantelle Ewen-Bunnel, William Kraut and Ken Ziman and Democrats Susan Riccio, Betty Hadlock and Mara Sacente, according to the Orange Times.
