ORANGE, CT — An Orange resident recently won $50,000 on a winning lottery ticket that was sold in Ansonia, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

The resident, who wished to remain anonymous, won $50,000 on a Powerball ticket that was sold at Rosie's Halal Food Deli & Convenience Store at 95 Wakelee Ave # 2 in Ansonia, according to Lottery officials.

The CT Lottery has changed its policy on announcing winners by not including the winners’ full names on the list in order to protect them from potential scams, according to officials.
