Orange Woman Arrested for Illegally Collecting Unemployment Compensation
Shawnee O'Donnell was arrested for collecting more than $24,000 in unlawful unemployment compensation.

Shawnee O’Donnell, 33, of Orange, was arrested on Friday for illegally collecting about $24,385 in unemployment compensation from Sept. 2010 through July 2011, the News 8 WTNH reported.
O’Donnell was charged, one count each, with first-degree larceny by Defrauding a Public Community and Unemployment Compensation Fraud, the News 8 WTNH reported. She was released on a $10,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in New Britain Superior Court on June 9.
She is accused of collecting the funds while employed as a licensed practical nurse, the News 8 WTNH reported. An investigation was launched after a complaint was made by the CT Department of Labor.
