Pysch Board: Questions About Granata's Meds
Orange man, acquitted in mother's murder, had first hearing.

ORANGE--Timothy Granata, 24, of Orange, acquitted in 2015 of murdering his mother in 2014, had his first appearance before the Psychiatric Security Review Board at Connecticut Valley Hospital on Friday.
Granata, found not guilty by reason of mental defect in the stabbing death of his mother, Dr. Claudia Dinan Granata, in 2014, is serving 60 years at the maximum-security Whiting Forensic Division at CVH for 60 years.
On Friday, the board raised questions about Granata going off his meds after his acquittal, as he was beginning his treatment in a state psychiatric unit, The Hartford Courant reports.
