18-Wheeler Up in Flames, 84 Eastbound Exit 3 Backed Up
Don't expect to get anywhere fast this afternoon.
An 18-wheeler caught fire on Interstate 84 East about 25 minutes ago, according to the Connecticut Western State Police.
"Traffic is shutdown" on I-84 eastbound, said a responder who answered Patch's call but hung up before identifying himself.
Police had no more details at this time.
