Ridgefield Playhouse

Christmas With The Celts return for two performances at the Playhouse! This family favorite holiday show is a wonderful combination of timeless Irish Christmas Carols, lively Irish Dance, and contemporary songs performed with Irish instrumentation. Each year, the Celts add new Christmas hits, Celts originals, and fresh Irish Dance tunes so that no performance is the same.Christmas with the Celts was first seen as a PBS-TV special and since then, the show has grown into a unique blend of modern Christmas standards with the spirit and sounds of Celtic roots. You’ll hear Christmas classics like “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen,” “Little Drummer Boy,” “Santa Claus is Coming to Town,” and John Lennon’s “Happy Christmas” along with traditional Irish music and instrumentation. The Celts lineup stars Emerald Rae (vocals, fiddle), Patrick D’Arcy (U2, Sting, Josh Groban) from Dublin on Uilleann pipes (bagpipes), Ric Blair (vocals, guitar, bodhran) -Irish whistles, bass, drums and of course, the lively Irish dancers.

Artificial Intelligence - AI for Everyone 
Tech journalist Lance Whitney will show you the major AI sites - ChatGPT, Bing AI, and Google Bard - and describe how to use them. He will also provide an overview of AI, explain what it means, and show you how AI can benefit you at work and at home. Instructor Lance Whitney is a technology journalist and the author of the book book “Teach Yourself Visually LinkedIn.” He’s also written a book on Windows 8. He currently writes for TechRepublic, ZDNet, PCMag, and other technology sites. Previously, he was a system administrator with Ciba Specialty Chemicals. Join us for a festive morning at beautiful Waveny Park
as we run and walk through the scenic trails in full Christmas spirit! Kids can enjoy our Santa Dash right in front of the historic Waveny Mansion, and adults can choose between the 5K or the one-mile walk.
We typically welcome 250–300 participants, making this a lively and community-filled holiday tradition.
🎁 Running for a Cause 
All proceeds help fund the food supplies for our 100,000-meal food packing event with Feed My Starving Children on March 7, 2026 at New Canaan High School.

Boasting one of pop’s most beloved voices, Susanna Hoffs was born and raised in Los Angeles with an ever-present soundtrack of ’60s music. She loved to sing and play guitar, going on to study dance and art in college. Stirred by punk and new wave, Susanna started her first band with David Roback (of Mazzy Star) while at UC Berkeley, and co-founded The Bangles, a seminal band of the ’80s with a string of hits from three platinum-selling albums, including “Eternal Flame” and “In Your Room,” both co-written by Hoffs.
Susanna released her debut solo album When You’re a Boy in 1991, and after working together in the Austin Powers films in the band Ming Tea, Susanna and Matthew Sweet released three volumes of their acclaimed Under the Covers series. Her latest albums include the archival release<a href="https://orcd.co/thelostrecord" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> The Lost Record</a>,<a href="https://orcd.co/shoffs" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> The Deep End</a>, and<a href="https://orcd.co/brightlights" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> Bright Lights</a>. Her next solo album will be released in 2026.
