Downed Tree Blocks Rte. 116 in Ridgefield: Reports
The road was expected to be closed for several hours.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Part of Rte. 116 in Ridgefield is closed due to a downed tree, according to multiple media reports. Police say the road is closed between Barrack Hill Road and Wooster Street as the tree took down utility wires.
Eversource is responding, and the road is expected to be closed for about five hours.
A report from the Ridgefield Press indicates the tree fell on electrical wires and caused the tree to burn.
