As a mixed-media artist, Christopher Staples loves to experiment with new techniques. So when she heard about the artistic possibilities of Citra Solv, an all natural cleaner, she couldn't resist giving it a shot. Even better, it would be a local project since Citra Solv, LLC is owned by Steve and Melissa Zeitler, Ridgefield residents themselves.
Although Citra Solv has been around for more than 20 years, its artistic abilities have recently come to light. Zeitler said there's been lots of "buzz" around the artist blogs about the product, and her customers have begun sending her examples of some of their incredible creations. An art enthusiast herself, Zeitler appreciated the artistic possibilities of Citra Solv and offered to donate product to the Ridgefield Guild of Artists.
Rachel Volpone of the Guild said she thought Citra Solv collaging would make a wonderful workshop, so she reached out to Christopher Staples, who is best known for her unique collages.
