Stephen Corso was convicted of stealing more than $5 million from clients in 2009.

Former Ridgefield resident Stephen Corso, known for stealing more than $5 million from his clients and becoming an undercover informant for the FBI, is now in trouble for allegedly practicing as a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission consultant and attorney, despite being barred from doing so after his conviction, according to the News Times.
Corso, 60, who was convicted in 2009 on federal charges of wire fraud and tax evasion, is also being investigated for penny-stock fraud, the Times reports.
He has allegedly advertised his services as an attorney and consultant from August 2010 through April of this year, according to an application filed this week by the SEC with the U.S. District Court Southern District of California, the Times reports.
