The Ghosts of Ridgefield Return to Discovery Center
An evening of thrills and chills is planned at the Discovery Center as 'The Ghosts of Ridgefield' make their return.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — It's that time of year again— the time when the ghosts come back to the hills of Ridgefield. The Discovery Center of Ridgefield and Parks and Recreation are co-sponsoring an evening of thrills and chills on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 6 p.m. at Hemlock Hills Open Space
The 25th annual ghosts hike takes thrill seekers along the trails through Hemlock Hills where attendees will encounter legendary, ghostly figures from Ridgefield's past who will share their personal stories. Past guests included Col. Bradley, Chief Catoonah, Geraldine Farrar and the infamous Leatherman. Enjoy cookies and apple cider around a campfire and learn about Ridgefield's haunted past.
Tours start at 6 p.m. and depart in groups of up to 15 people every 15 minutes. Those with very young children should ask for the earliest time slot. Discovery Center members are $10, non-members $15 per person.

Location: Hemlock Hills Open Space, Bogus Road entrance. Take Ridgebury Road north to Ned's Mountain Road (at points this road is very narrow) and follow to intersection of Bogus Road. Entrance to Ghosts is on the right. Or take George Washington Highway to Old Mill Road continue straight and it will turn into Ned's Mountain Road. Ghost will be at the intersection of Bogus Road on the left.
