Helicopters to Inspect Power Lines in Ridgefield This Week
You may see helicopters flying above this week. Here is why.
Beginning this week, Eversource Energy will be conducting aerial inspections of high-voltage electrical equipment on several rights-of-way throughout Connecticut. The work involves the use of a helicopter equipped with heat-sensing, infrared scanning technology which can detect potential equipment issues before they occur. The aerial inspections started Wednesday, July 19 and continue through July 26. Weather permitting, flights will take place from 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
