RIDGEFIELD, CT — If you were planning to head to Mamanasco Lake on Tuesday, you may want to reconsider your plans. According to a report from the Ridgefield Press, the lake is due for a chemical treatment on Aug. 1.
Most water uses and recreational activities are prohibited for 24 hours, but boating is not restricted.
The treatment aims to prevent a bloom of blue-green algae. It is expected to start at about 10 a.m.
