Neighbors 'Unnerved' By Ridgefield Shooting: Report

A 15-year-old girl was shot in the back after an attempted larceny from a car on Hulda Lane Monday.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — A shooting on Hulda Lane that resulted in the injury of a 15-year-old girl has neighbors concerned, reports the News Times. A neighbor told the publication that it was 'very scary' and that she called police after hearing three gunshots.

Ridgefield First Selectman Rudy Marconi told Hearst Connecticut Media that the immediate safety threat has been resolved. A report from the Waterbury Republican-American states that the girl was part of a group of teenagers trying to steal a car from a Hulda Lane home, when the homeowner fired a gun at the group, however Ridgefield Police have released few details on the shooting.
