Obituary: Barbara S. Wakeman, 83, of Ridgefield
She was a homemaker, a loving mother, sister and grandmother. She loved life and was devoted to her family and friends.
Barbara S. Wakeman, age 83, died peacefully Sunday June 11, 2017 at Laurel Ridge Conv. Home Ridgefield, CT with her loving family by her side. Born in New Canaan, CT July 19, 1933 she was the daughter of the late William and Lillian Duncan Scofield. Barbara was predeceased by her husband Robert in 1983. She was a homemaker, a loving mother, sister and grandmother. She loved life and was devoted to her family and friends.
Barbara is survived by her son, Robert L. Wakeman (Terry) of Danbury, CT and her daughter Cindy Dayton ( Michael) of Glen Ellyn, IL. One sister, Hazel Heibeck of Georgetown, CT. And four grandchildren, Ali and Molly Wakeman and Tyler and Jake Dayton.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday June 15, 2017 at 11:00 Am in the Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main St., New Canaan, CT with Interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
