A Ridgefield family needs help after a house fire at their home Wednesday evening. BREAKING

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Ridgefield fire crews responded to a house fire on Midrocks Road Wednesday that left a family homeless. Danbury fire crews were called in to assist, The News Times reported. Everyone is safe, according to a local resident who posted on social media that the family needs clothing, toiletries and additional items.

Tonya Hinjosa wrote on Hello Ridgefield that the community is working together to help the family. "If you can help with gift cards for the family who lost their home, please drop off at St. Stephen's Church. It will be open at 8 a.m. this morning. The office is located in the white building next to Deborah Anne's. Thank you."

Realtor.com shows the single family home has 3 bedroom and just over 1,000 square feet.
