Ridgefield To Host First Locally Organized Garden Tour In 3 Decades

Ridgefield will host its first locally organized garden tour in more than three decades on June 8, opening the gates to 7 private gardens.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Garden enthusiasts will have a rare opportunity to explore some of Ridgefield’s most beautiful private landscapes this spring as the town hosts its first locally organized garden tour in more than three decades.

The 2025 Ridgefield Garden Tour, "Beyond the Garden Gate," set for Sunday, June 8, will feature seven private gardens along with the historic Ballard Gardens in Ballard Park, all in peak spring bloom. Tickets for the tour are available now.

The event is sponsored by the Ridgefield Garden Club and the Ridgefield Historical Society, with proceeds benefiting both organizations, which focus on preserving the town’s natural and historic charm.

To kick off the weekend, a Spring Soirée, "Hats Off to Spring," will be held Saturday, June 7, from 7 to 11 p.m. in another exclusive Ridgefield garden. Tickets for the soirée and tour are available now.

Visitors and locals can also take part in the Ridgefield Garden Tour Weekend raffle, which includes a two-night stay at the Fountain Inn, a $200 gift certificate to Bailey’s Backyard, and two tickets to the June 7 evening performance of "Waitress, The Musical" at A.C.T. of Connecticut. Only 100 raffle tickets will be sold at $100 each, with the drawing set for May 1.
