First on the agenda was the Old Branchville Road Schoolhouse lease which was approved with flying colors. This landmark is a Town owned historic building located on Old Branchville Road that was constructed over 150 years ago. With lease in place, the Ridgefield Historical Society will oversee the restoration of the building, preserving the history and ensuring its benefits to the community for years to come. Read more about this project on the Ridgefield Historical Society website.

Next came the approval of the lease for 66 Grove Street, which prompted an overwhelming amount of public comments. The result? Students of the Alternative High School and 18-22 Transition Program could soon have a new home. The lease was approved as the new location for both programs. The Town will now need a special permit from Planning & Zoning for use of the space as a school. More information about the lease can be found on the Town website.
