RIDGEFIELD, CT — Ridgefield residents will vote on a proposed $119.8 million Board of Education budget and other municipal spending items during a budget referendum scheduled for Tuesday, May 13, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Yanity Gym.

The referendum will include votes on a $2.15 million Roads and ADA infrastructure budget, and a combined town and debt service budget of $52.87 million, bringing the total proposed fiscal year expenditures to approximately $174.8 million. The town portion represents a 2.51 percent increase, and the Board of Education budget reflects a 4.13 percent hike. If approved, the mill rate is expected to rise by 3.98 percent.

Residents may calculate the potential tax impact by multiplying their current bill by 3.98 percent. For instance, a $10,000 tax bill would increase by $398.
