Ridgefield Woman Arrested for DUI After Crash: Wilton PD
Police say the woman was also driving without a license and her vehicle unregistered.

WILTON, CT — Following a crash on Danbury Road, a Ridgefield woman was arrested for driving under the influence Monday, according to Wilton Police. Police say Michelle Cota, 47, was involved in a crash that resulted in injuries at 3:o2 p.m. at the Westport Road intersection, and was determined to be under the influence.
Cota allegedly told police she was on her way home to Ridgefield after having lunch at the Little Pub in Wilton. She told police she only had one bloody mary at lunch, but her blood alcohol content was tested at 0.2167, over twice the legal limit of .08.
Police also say she was driving without a license and in an unregistered vehicle.

She was charged with driving under the influence, following too close, driving without a license and driving an unregistered vehicle. She was released on a $250 cash bond and is due in Norwalk Superior Court on July 24.
