Rte. 7 Closing Postponed: Report
The planned bridge work on Rte. 7 will not be taking place this weekend.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — Luckily for residents traveling through town, the detours scheduled due to bridge work in Branchville are postponed, reports the Ridgefield Press. The weekend-long closing Rte. 7 is being pushed back to Aug. 18- Aug. 21.
The closure schedule scheduled for the following weekend is still in tact.
The detour routes are as follows:- Northbound Rt. 7 thru traffic will be detoured up Rt. 102 to Rt. 35 to Rt. 7 at its intersection with Rt. 35.
- Southbound Rt. 7 thru traffic will be detoured up Rt. 35 to Rt. 102 to Rt. 7.
It should be noted that local traffic and those wishing to access businesses on Rt. 7 will still be allowed access except to the area where the bridge construction is taking place.
