Rte. 7 Road Work to Cause Traffic Changes in Ridgefield: DOT

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Rte. 7 will close this weekend and traffic will be impacted during the week in anticipation of the closure. According to a Department of Transportation press release, the closure is set to begin on Friday, June 9, and end on Monday, June 17.
Rte. 7 will be closed over the Norwalk Ridge, and traffic will be diverted using Rte. 35 and Rte. 102. Below is the lane closure and detour information, courtesy of the Connecticut Department of Transportation.
On Monday June 5, 2017, alternating one-way traffic between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. can be expected in anticipation of the first weekend detour closure. The contractor will be allowed to close Rte. 7 and detour traffic via Route 35 and Route 102 for a duration of 58 hours starting at 8:00 p.m. on Friday and ending at 6:00 a.m. the following Monday.
DOT Project No. 0117-0157 was awarded to New England Infrastructure, Inc. at a cost of $3,489,712.00 on March 3, 2016 and is scheduled to be completed by September 18, 2017.
