Two Men Approached Girl in Ridgefield: Police
Police are investigating after two men in a red car allegedly approached a ninth grade girl on Walnut Grove Road.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Police are urging the public to report suspicious activity after a ninth grade girl from Ridgefield was approached by two men in a red car on Friday, May 5, Ridgefield Police Capt. Jeff Krietz told Patch. Officers reached out to someone who posted about the incident on Facebook on May 6.
The family told police that one of the men was described as 60 years old and another around 25. The family said that the two approached the girl on Walnut Grove Road and offered her a ride, and that the girl did not engage with the men. Kreitz added that police do not know what the intentions of the two men were, saying that the men may have offered the girl a ride because it was raining.

"We don't know the intention," Kreitz said."An officer saw the post, and tried to get more information. It was raining that Friday so we don't know if the intentions were to be nice or to be criminal."
Kreitz said the department is urging residents to report incidents like this, and say that police are still investigating the matter.
