Barricaded Person Investigation Leads To Evacuation Of Apartment Building, Rocky Hill PD Says

The investigation is ongoing, police said Saturday.

UPDATE: Police have cleared the scene. Residents are allowed to return, police said.

ROCKY HILL, CT — The Rocky Hill Police Department is actively investigating a barricaded person in the area of 100 West Street, Forrest Park Apartments, police said.

A 911 call was received this morning around 8AM indicating a domestic dispute inside one of the apartments, police said.

Upon officers arrival, it was determined that one individual remained inside the apartment and failed to comply with police when instructed to exit, police added.

It is unknown if the subject is armed, police said.

"Out of an abundance of caution, the apartment building was evacuated while police investigate. The Capital Region Emergency Response Team has been activated and is responding to the scene. At this time, there is no known threat to the general public outside the immediate area," police said.
