Andrew Price, 22, of Ballaro Drive, Shelton, is charged with driving under the influence, failure to drive right, illegal possession, possession of a cannabis-type substance (less than half an ounce) and use of drug paraphernalia.
Police said Price was involved in a two-car accident and failed field sobriety tests. Officers also found a pipe used to ingest drugs and a plastic bag with cocaine residue.
His bond was set at $1,000 for an appearance in Derby Superior Court.
In a separate accident, Stewart V. Miller, 62, of Coram Road, Shelton, was charged with DUI and failure to drive in the right hand lane.
His bond was set at $500.
