2 Hurt, 1 Seriously, in Shelton Crash

A two-car crash Wednesday left a Shelton woman in critical condition in Bridgeport Hospital.

Kathleen Lilley, 69, was taken to the hospital and is listed in serious condition. A passenger in the Volkswagen was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries, said Shelton Police Lt. Robert Kozlowsky.

The other driver, Christopher Struber, 25, of Ansonia, was not taken to the hospital, police said.

Police, firefighters, and EMTs were dispatched at 9:10 a.m. to the intersection of South Constitution Boulevard and Ivy Brook Road for a two-car motor vehicle accident, according to the police report.

"The initial investigation by police revealed that a Volkswagen was traveling east on Ivy Brook Road and collided with a Ford that was traveling south on South Constitution Boulevard," Kozlowsky said.

Lilley drove the Volkswagen and Struber drove the Ford, police said.

The Shelton Police Traffic Division is currently investigating this accident. No enforcement action has been taken at this time. Any witnesses or persons with additional information may call the Shelton Police Traffic Division at (203) 924-1544.
