2 Injured In Shelton House Fire: FD
Fire officials said two people, an occupant and a firefighter, were both injured in a Shelton house fire.
SHELTON, CT — Two people, an occupant and a firefighter, were both injured in a house fire Sunday afternoon in Shelton, according to fire officials.
In a news release posted to the Shelton Fire Department Facebook page, officials said crews were called to a home on Birchbank Road around 2 p.m. after receiving multiple 911 calls.
When crews arrived, they found a "well-involved private dwelling fire" with flames visible from nearly every window and door of the house, officials said.

The fire was extinguished within 45 minutes, officials said.
The home was not deemed habitable and it is uncertain how many residents have been displaced as a result of the blaze, according to fire officials.

One occupant received burns and was treated by emergency medical service crews, then taken to a hospital for evaluation, officials said.
A firefighter was injured at the scene and taken to a hospital for heat-related illness, according to fire officials.
The cause of the house fire is under investigation, officials said.
