5 Hospitalized After Head-On Crash: Derby Fire Dep't
The accident occurred just before midnight.

DERBY/ANSONIA, CT — Five people were hospitalized late Saturday after two cars were involved in a head-on accident on the Derby/Ansonia line, fire officials posted on Facebook.
At 11:31 p.m. fire crews responded to the intersection of Marshal and Coe lanes. Upon arrival, units discovered a two-car head-on accident with five patients in need of transport to trauma centers, officials said.
Members assisted EMS with treatment and cleared the scene of hazards. The accident was located on Marshal Lane, feet over the line into Ansonia, officials said. Derby units maintained the scene until the arrival of AFD companies, officials said.
