Alleged Phone Threat Made in Shelton

An Ansonia man is accused of making threats over the phone.

Calvin E. Cooks, 34, of Fifth Street, is charged with second-degree threatening. Police said he was arguing with another person during the incident.

Cooks' bond was set at $500 for an appearance in Derby Superior Court.

In a separate incident, John McWeeney, 68, of Hillside Ave., Shelton, is charged with disorderly conduct. Police said he was involved with a fight that turned physical.

His bond was set at $500 for an appearance in court.
