An Old Fashioned Car Show At Beardsley Cider Mill

Model A and Model T Fords were on display Saturday at the annual car show at Beardsley's Cider Mill & Orchard at 278 Leavenworth Road.

Marc Buzzelli of Shelton hoisted his son Anthony, 5, into one of the antique cars.

"This is my first time at this show," Buzzelli said. "I like it. Anything old, I like. I collect antique tractors."

Earnest Anderson of Bridgeport and his friend John Edwards of Hamden checked out an old engine.

"We go to a lot of car shows," Edwards said. "He's a spectator, but I bought a car today - a 1930 Town Sedan, four-door."

Dan Beardsley, who runs the cider mill with his father, Dave, organized the show, which was scheduled to go on from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A collector himself, Beardsley contacts Connecticut Model A and Model T organizations online and invites them to his show. This is the third one.

Finding antique car owners is easier than one would think.

Beardsley said, "Right here in Shelton, believe it or not, there are at least 20 Model A's and T's within five miles of here."
