Ansonia Man Sentenced In Former Police Sergeant's Steroid Ring

Former Newtown Police Sergeant Steven Santucci was sentenced to over one year in prison last year.

NEWTOWN, CT — Another man has been sentenced in connection with a steroid ring involving a former Newtown police sergeant. Jeffrey Gentile, 35, of Ansonia was sentenced to three years of probation and 150 hours of community service by Judge Robert N. Chatigny in Hartford.

Investigators say Gentile swapped adderall with Alex Kenyhercz of Ansonia in exchange for steroids. Both Kenyhercz and former Newtown sergeant Steven Santucci imported steroid ingredients from China and manufactured and sold wholesale quantities of steroids, according to the U.S. Attorney District of Connecticut office.
