CARA Presents Check to Spooner House in Shelton

Curtiss Ryan Honda Nominates Spooner House in Shelton for Charitable Contribution from CT Automotive Retailer Association

Shelton, CT - Longtime community leader Curtiss*Ryan Honda in Shelton
facilitated the presentation of a check to Spooner House in Shelton, CT
from the Connecticut Automotive Retailers Associaion (CARA). The check
was in the amount of $1500.

Spooner House is operated by Area Congregations Together, Inc. with the
mission of providing food, shelter and support services to people in need.
“All of our energies are devoted to helping our clients establish a
self-sufficient living situation”, explained Susan Agamy, Executive Director
of Spooner House.

“We are very grateful to Curtiss Ryan Honda for submitting Spooner House
to CARA for this much needed donation”. Curtiss Ryan is truly a good
neighbor to Spooner House and to the community.”

Founded in 1921, The Connecticut Automotive Retailers (CAR) Association
represents Connecticut’s new vehicle dealerships. Its 251 members sell
every major automobile brand and account for nearly 18% of total retail
sales in our state.

Since its inception in 1987, The Foundation has granted over $1.1 million
dollars to worthy organizations throughout the state of Connecticut. The
Foundation’s mission is to award grants to nonprofit organizations which
are based in Connecticut and which serve community needs primarily in
the areas of education, culture, the arts, the needy and the homeless
through sponsorship of special programs and projects which enhance the
quality of life in Connecticut.
