Carlos Enrique Gonzalez Cano - Obituary

Beloved Son, Father, Brother, Uncle - Skilled Machinist and Milling Foreman

Carlos Enrique Gonzalez Cano, age 55 of Ansonia, died at his residence on November 4, 2025. Born in Medellin, Colombia on May 9, 1970, he was the son of Jaime Leon Gonzalez and Margarita Cano Gonzalez of Bridgeport. Together with his family, Mr. Gonzalez Cano immigrated to the U.S. in 1972 and settled in Norwalk where he was raised. He was a 1988 graduate of the J. M. Wright Technical High School of Stamford and worked as a milling foreman, CNC programmer and machinist for the Richard Manufacturing Company of Milford for over 22 years. Mr. Gonzalez Cano enjoyed traveling to the Caribbean and Mexico and found great solace on any tropical beach. He was an avid hiker and will be long remembered for his affable personality and natural charisma that endeared him to many. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his devoted children, Charles J. Gonzalez and his wife Lisbeth of Bridgeport and Patricia Destree and her husband, Benjamin of WI; a sister, Isabel Gonzalez of New Canaan; brothers, Jaime Gonzalez and his wife Ishell, and Mario Gonzalez, all of Norwalk; as well as many nieces, nephews and his feline companion, Milo. Family and friends may call on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 4:00 to 6:30 pm at the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. A celebration of Carlos’ life will take place at 6:30 PM. Interment will be private. Online condolences may be made at www.wakeleememorial.com.
