Crash Closes Portion Of Route 8 In Shelton

SHELTON, CT — Route 8 South is closed between Exits 13 and 12 in Shelton due to a crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle, according to state transportation officials.

Connecticut State Police are advising motorists to use alternate routes.

The official detour, via the state DOT, is: a left off of Exit 13 onto Bridgeport Avenue. Following Bridgeport Avenue and then take a left onto Old Stratford Road. Then take a right onto the Exit 12 on ramp.
