Delays Expected On Roads In Derby Due To Construction: Police

DERBY, CT — Traffic delays are expected on Main Street between Route 8 and Bridge Street due to road work in the area beginning Wednesday at 7 a.m.

In a Facebook post, police said the traffic pattern will be switching to the opposite side of the road.

Police also noted Elizabeth Street is becoming a one-way south between Main Street and 3rd Street, and Minerva Street is becoming a one-way north between those two streets.

According to police, signs will be posted and extra police officers will be assisting drivers during the construction. Drivers are asked to be patient and adjust their travel plans accordingly.
