Derby Shelton Memorial Day Service To Be Held This Week

SHELTON-DERBY, CT — The Derby Shelton Memorial Day Parade Association will conduct its annual Memorial Day service Friday at 6 p.m. at Shelton Intermediate School.

According to the association's Facebook page, a list of Derby and Shelton veterans who died between May 1, 2023 and April 30, 2024 will be read aloud during the solemn one-hour service.

Additionally, the veterans' next of kin will receive a pin and a flower in honor of their loved one's service to our country.

The full list as of May 15 can be read here. Anyone with additional names to be added to the list is asked to contact the association.
