Dragged Gas Station Clerk Remains Critical

A Cumberland Farms clerk, dragged by thieves stealing a David Hasselhoff sign Aug. 20, was still in critical condition Monday.

The alleged driver, 19, has come forward and is cooperating but no arrests have been made in the case, police said.

The clerk, 36, was trying to stop the thieves, who were riding in an SUV. He was flipped, suffered a cut to his head and lost consciousness, police said.

David Hasselhoff, an actor and singer, tweeted that he was praying for the clerk shortly after the incident.
