Driver Extricated From Vehicle After Rollover Crash In Shelton: FD
A driver was extricated from a vehicle and taken to a local trauma facility after a rollover crash in Shelton, according to fire officials.
SHELTON, CT — A driver was extricated from a vehicle and taken to a local trauma facility after a rollover crash Monday night in Shelton, according to fire officials.
In a news release, fire officials said crews were called to the area of Huntington Street after receiving a report of a crash with injuries just before 9 p.m.
When crews arrived, they found the driver trapped in a rolled over pick up truck, officials said.

Firefighters stabilized the vehicle to prepare for extrication. Crews were then able to remove the roof and windshield of the truck so emergency medical service crews could reach the driver, officials said.
After about 22 minutes, EMS crews were able to package the driver and take him to a local trauma facility for treatment, officials said.

Police remained at the scene to conduct accident reconstruction, officials said.
