Fatal Crash Closes Road In Ansonia: Police

ANSONIA, CT — A road is closed in Ansonia due to a fatal crash reported Wednesday morning, according to police.

In a news release posted to the department's Facebook page, police said the crash occurred around 7:45 A.M. on Pershing Drive between Clifton Avenue and Bridge Street.

Pershing Drive is closed in that area until further notice, and drivers and pedestrians are asked to avoid the area, police said.

Police also noted the crash "is still an active scene," and Derby police and the Connecticut State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit are assisting with the investigation.
