Shelton Fireworks to Take Off Wednesday Night

Catch some R&B from Mia & the Riff and then enjoy fireworks Wednesday night.

Fireworks will be launched in both Downtown Shelton and across the bridge in Downtown Derby after 9 p.m.

As part of the "Music Under the Stars" summer concert series, Mia & the Riff, will play on the Huntington Green at 7 p.m.

"Led by powerhouse vocalist and former Star Idol Mia Fanali, this seven-piece cover band is known for its high-octane, off-the-charts energy. While you may not hear all the hits on the radio, you’ll be treated to songs that everyone loves from artists like Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder and Joss Stone," according to the band's Website.

"Best known for their version of “Proud Mary” this talented lineup of stellar musicians plays all over the area. You may catch them at Draft House, Carl Anthony's, and outdoor venues in Trumbull and Shelton," it states.
