Flood Warning For Portion Of Shelton: National Weather Service
Heavy rains are expected to continue throughout the area into Thursday.

SHELTON, CT — A flood warning has been issued for "the Maples area of Shelton," the National Weather Service announced Wednesday afternoon.
The remnants of Ida, the hurricane that ravaged parts of Louisiana and Mississippi Tuesday, is expected to dump heavy rains throughout Connecticut on Wednesday and Thursday, which led to the Shelton warning.
Floodwaters could crest at 15 feet at the Stevenson Dam in Monroe, said NWS officials, which "compares to a previous crest of 13.8 feet on 04/01/1993."
