Gail Ann Zimmerman, age 78, died peacefully on July 7, 2025 at Milford Hospital with her family by her side. Born in Bridgeport on April 25, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy Myers Lucas. Ms. Zimmerman was raised in Bridgeport and resided in Derby for most of her life, before moving to Naugatuck. A homemaker, she was a voracious reader, enjoyed word search puzzles, the beach and tulips were her favorite. She will be long remembered for her special love for her family, especially for her grandchildren and great-grandsons. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Stacy Neu and her partner, Jason Bedient of Milford and son, Donald Zimmerman of Shelton; cherished grandchildren, Michayla Neu and her fiancé Michael, Jacob Neu and his fiancé, Brianne, Matthew Imperati and Gavin Pytlak; great-grandsons, Avery, Benjamin and Rowan Neu. Ms. Zimmerman was predeceased by a daughter, Victoria Pytlak and a brother, Jospeh Lucas. Funeral Services will be private. The Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia is in care of arrangements.
